Paper Quilling Greeting Card & Magnet by Paper Splash

Participants will be taught how to create both a flower bouquet greeting card and sun fridge magnet by incorporating basic quilling shapes using strips of paper and quilling tools. This workshop is suitable for those 13 years old and above.

Participants will be taught how to create a polymer clay ice cream charm from scratch, using various tools to shape and add texture to the clay. This workshop is suitable for those 5 years old and above. Participants who are 5 or 6 years old are required to be accompanied by 1 adult during the entire duration of the workshop.

Etsy Craft Party 2016 - The Summer Edition

Etsy Craft Party is an annual worldwide event.

Crafty Singapore is hosting one right here in Singapore with the support of Etsy.

On the day of the event, There will be 3 workshops for the public to purchase tickets for.

This is one of them,

Participants will be taught how to stitch a miniature sized hoop which can be finished as a pendant or brooch for their loved ones. They will get to personalize words or images within the hoop and learn various stitches (i.e. running, back, stem, french knots and lazy daisy).

For an added Bonus: learn how to stitch a spider-web rose. This workshop is suitable for those 13 years old and above.

Osteonecrosis of the jaw - After wisdom tooth extraction

Today,

I went to see the dentist, as I had this little piece of bone protruding from Gums,

After extracting my wisdom tooth, and doing a filling on my other teeth, I have had felt a sharp bone being pushed to the surface of my mouth,

Caused me a great pains, from eating, and just going to Malaysia would be a nightmare as I would not be able to eat much - This is good for the diet....

No, its not Cancer, or anything serious (hopefully)

Google pictures of it, and you will be convinced that you are going to DIE ....
or you have some terminal disease.

Anyway to cut things short, through surfing forums and reading discussion on the matter, it brings me down to the fact that it may just be 'lingual mandibular sequestration with ulceration'  

The Dentist broke off the sharp end of the bone, and picked out the the little bits of it.
So strange - Tiny bits of bone can be such an irritation.

In any case, the left side of my jaw feels like someone just gave me really hard right hook ....

Not swollen, but hurts....

Hope it heals up and I can go to work tomorrow.

Marriage life – 002 – Naming the Kids

When I got married, I already had a many plans for what was to come.
Being here now, it had opened a whole new network of paths of which I would take.

Through the many years singlehood, planning, rehearsals with all the imaginary girlfriends I once had, that grew into imaginary wives that led to different imaginary lives….

One of the scenarios was to start a family with 2 kids.

So one fine day, I brought this idea up to the wife:

Me: Dear, if we have kids, what would we call them?

Wife: (Looks at me with that weird look….)

Me: Lets try something interesting…. Maybe something scientific….
Maybe….. Cosine – Fang Cah Soh……

(After Moment of Silence…..a strange look)

Wife: No…. we should go with something biological – Diarrhoea Fang

Me:  That’s a great Idea, while we are at that…. We can call….

*Wife walks in on me writing.... and hijacks the keyboard*

The original story:

The husband and I did not want children.

He: They are a bother and expensive to maintain in the current Singapore economy.  Do you know the cost of childcare and education? Who is going to take care of the child? 

I: Then why don’t we have a dog?

He: …. (frowning) … and what shall we call it? *interrupts to sniff the air* Wait… did you not bathe today? I smell shit…. Maybe we should call him “Fang Pi” (meaning Fart/breaking wind in Chinese)

I: (patting my womb) Since you like science, how about… Diarrhoea Fang? It has a nice ring to it.

He: (…rolls eyes…) I was thinking of something more scientific. If we had a child, perhaps we should name him Trigo Fang.

I: I got it! Diarrhoea Fang Cah Soh…

He: (utter silence) ………..

*Husband takes keyboard back from The Wife * 

Conclusion: Our kids will be called Diarrhoea Fang Pi and Trigo Fang Cah Soh... and we also decided Fang Lau Sai.....

We make bad parents.....

This Space is empty - ?

It has been ages since I have taken up the task to write about something.

Looking at an old blog of mine, which post dates back to 2009,  it kind of occurred to me that I have not written anything for a long time.

So, what had happened?

What changed?

Why have I started writing again?

I vaguely remembered that I had stopped all my blogging activities, due to the fact that almost everyone was sort of mud slinging me for the post I had written.

 May it be some inspiration or some insights or just the strange way I put across ideas over the page.

Anyway, forward to today, I have successfully completed a milestone in my life, I got married.

Happily I must add, although it has been a short 6 months, it was an interesting experience none the least.

After years of threshing around, talking of love, learning about love, discussing about love, dreaming about love. You have finally reached!!!

A whole new ball game, a whole new set of rules, a new set of challenges.

The wife said I should pick up blogging again too, so here I am.

No idea what I will do with this, but yes, I will try to write something regularly.

Hopefully not sounding like a complete idiot as I have done in my previous blogs.
I was young, 25 to 29 years old, obsessed with the thoughts of "RULING THE WORLD!!!"

Ok ... lets see where this leads me.
Like all my dreams, maybe one day I can take all my blog post and compile it into this nice booklet and call it "thoughts of a twisted mind"

Let me see if I can find the time to fix how the blog looks like....till then, enjoy this basic look.

Marriage 001 - the beginning.....

That moment when you have a make or break kind of fight and, instead of breaking, the relationship strengthens and things change and you both change in ways you never thought possible. And, all of a sudden, you’re standing in the middle of the relationship you’d always hoped it would be, all because you took the risk to stay instead of the easy answer to leave.

It's been 6 months since I said "I Do",
it is now "Us against the world"....
